Metro Richmond Prayer Drive vs Prayer Walk

Several weeks ago it was pressed upon me to do a prayer walk as a result of the study session from the book The Circle Maker. We started the study with staff during our devotion time. After work that day 1/24/12 I left on my usual route home as I traveled down a part on I95. I decided to circle the Richmond metro area. I traveled down I95 till I got to RT288 and then went North to I64 then east to I295 north and back to I95 south. The circle would be made! As I got on RT288 I was praying for the city and I noticed all of the different county signs as I traveled past the exits. At one point I looked up and saw the moon

It was God smiling on what I was praying for!

It wasn't long after that that I started praying circles around Northminster and another circle around the whole area. Take Laburnum ave to Meadowbridge to Brookland pkwy to Chamberlayne ave.

Then on one of those mornings as I was circling Northminster I could sense that God was leading me. I began to cry for no reason. I then wanted to circle the neighborhood. I went on the usual route down Meadowbridge and turned on to Brookland Pkwy and behold I found a church that I had not seen before. I began to cry and felt God wanted us to have that church and that I might be led to lead it.

I was scared to death. I didn't know what to do. I drove in tears to work and felt like calling Jeff to see if I was going crazy. I asked him if he would be willing to skip programming. He wanted to know why, I said if it was of God, than it would be worth it. I proceeded to tell him what happened that day. Then at staff devotion I took the staff on a prayer walk around Northminster it was then that the Lord said to pray for the church to be filled.

We then proceeded to Brooklland pkwy and I showed the staff the church that I thought God was calling me to.

On another walk I realized that God wanted to use pods as a means to provide clothing and furniture from other churches. The pods could be placed and manned by paid locals to oversee the pickup of articles from different sites.
