On 8/2/13 I wrote about a friend who was homeless.
At that time he had just gone into Good Samaritan Ministries to live.
It's been two months now and I had dinner with my friend last night to see how he was doing.
The first few weeks were rough adjusting to a new environment.
There was one or two individuals who were making it very tough.
Let's just say they were not very friendly.
Let's just say they were not very friendly.
The truth came to light and they have since left.
My friend has settled into a routine and seems quite content.
He's eating well and trying to stay on top of his diabetes.
The streets are no place for a diabetic.
We discussed the choices people make to stay on the streets or take a chance and live at a place like Good Samaritan Ministries.
He claimed that over 90 men have left the program in the last two months.
Most of them didn't even make it a day or two.
There is a choice!
Not a right or wrong, but a choice of where.
He was glad for the decision he made.
We don't always agree with the choices people make, but they do have a choice to make.
