I didn't even know!

I didn't even know that our own governor of Va and mayor of Richmond had pledged to end veteran homelessness in 2015.

It is possible! See the story from New Orleans below.

This a great start to ending homelessness. Let's hope the same resources and knowledge will be applied to ALL some day.

I found out the other week that if you have anything other than an "honorable discharge" you will not qualify to receive help through the Veterans Administration.

A friend I met had a "less than honorable discharge" and did not qualify. It was not "dishonorable" but "less than".

We still have a ways to go, but if we apply some of the same practices as we are with the veterans we will move in the right direction.
