The other day I drove my wife into work.
My car was stuck because our neighborhood had yet to be plowed.
A Prius does not like the snow!
My wife's car has four wheel drive.
As we left at 6:30 in the morning I noticed all the people out walking.
I figured they were all trying to make it to their jobs.
I had never seen that many people out that early before.
Then it occurred to me.
How many folks will be forced out into the streets as a result of this storm?
Who will not be able to pay next month's rent?
There are so many people who live paycheck to paycheck.
I am assuming that a lot a folks could not afford to miss a few days of work.
Just yesterday someone said there are people who can't even afford to miss a few hours of work, that's how close they live to the edge.
I have never even stopped to consider the consequences of a storm like the one we just saw.
I only focus on the impact it has on me.
I guess I have been living in my own little protected world for far too long.
I pray for those who are struggling.
